We received funding from the ‘EU Horizon 2020 - Science with and for Society 2020 (Swafs) Research and Innovation’ top-up element for our project ‘Una.Resin: Towards a Research and Innovation Ecosystem’.

Date: 27 September, 2022, 9:30-11:30 (BST)

Venue: Edinburgh Climate Change Institute

Background

The past two years have dramatically shaped our world and highlighted the importance of working together on common global issues. Some fundamental questions still need urgent attention as we look into the future. For example:

  • What will be the landscape of international research and innovation cooperation by 2030 and beyond in a rapidly changing world?

  • How will both the UK and Swiss Higher Education Institutions (HEI) collaborate with other HEI in the EU and Associated Country friends?

  • How can these institutions and educational alliances collaborate more beyond Europe and with Africa?

To address these questions, and as part of the Una Europa Kaleidoscope Showcase in Edinburgh, we have an attractive line up of speakers from academia, funders and policymakers who will speak on various aspirations including perspectives from UK, Swiss and African HEI, funders, and policymakers.

The session will involve short talks by our speakers below, followed by panel discussions and Q&A. It will be moderated by Professor James Smith, Vice Principal International, University of Edinburgh.
