It is important to note that following the UK’s departure from the EU, EU, EEA and Swiss nationals can no longer use their ID cards to travel to the UK, unless they have EU settled status granted through the EU Settlement Scheme. To enter the UK you must present a valid passport at the UK Border, ideally with 6 months left on the passport.
